My ideal job...

This time i talk about what i want to work with...

In the beginnin of the career, i liked the small animals, and that was what I wanted, but now I'm finishing my first year at the Uni and i really feel a fascination with cows. They are so tender (even it hasn't any expression :P). So that's in what I want to work, maybe in dairy, or just cattle. Obviously i would have to go to work  to the south,  but it's okay, I love the south, away from the stress of the city. Respect to the hours, i don't care working long hours, i just want to do well my job. And about the boss i also don't mind having a boss, what matters is that i have a good relationship whit he or she, that's all.

On the other hand, i know that many veterinary students are against to production animals work , because they associate it immediately to slaughter animals, almost cold-blooded and say they could never work on that. But i have another vision, animal production, milk, meat is necessary for the population, it is necessary to provide of good animal protein, quality to people, and that is what i want to contribute like a veterinarian, moreover of the animal welfare and health of course.

I will try to do my best about this.
Total thanks :)

My favorite subject...

If you ask me what's my favorite subject, i say "Development and structure microscopic of animal body", i mean, Histology. Why i like it so much? I think because it's "easy" to learn, or maybe the teacher motivates me, she's so kind and funny, i love her classes. The teacher ensures that all may learn, even if she has to explain over and over again. But there is one thing that  really don't like , it's the lecture in the afternoon. It should be in another hour of day !!!. It's entertaining, but the classes at that time , it's so exhausting (i get sleepy sometimes D:). On the other hand, on friday we have the laboratory, and that's ok, i love use the microscope, it's amazing look that small samples, and see all the structures and learn that we have all that in our body and it has an specific function, that's cool. also my classmates and i, sometimes put  another thing in the glove box, like our hairs :D lalala.

My idol :)

Well, today i'm going to write about a person that i admire a lot.
He is Ignacio Idalsoaga, the Buin Zoo's owner. He's born in 1956 (54 years old).
He graduated in Veterinary Medicine from University of Chile in 1980.
His history begins 20 years ago, when he with his wife, begins to give shelter to many damage animals in a plot in Buin, he never thought that this adventure will become in the most exciting and gratifying action in his entire life.
In the first place he wanted to devote to the swines breeding, but he ended building the most important, biggest and cutest Private Zoo in the country.

In his role as manager, he brought differents kinds of animals from around the world, including wild animals, like african lions, giraffe, and elephant. And also native species, like condor, foxes and guanacos.
His objective in the Zoo is do his best contribution between the nature and the human in a harmonious coexistence.

I really admire him, because he shows everything about what a Vet should do; team work, rescue and protection of animals, educate people, strengthen the family bond, including to the animals. :)
